It always ends up being fun, but that is definitely my preference! It is probably related to having projects, both of us, that we want to make progress on. Otherwise it sounds very flattering!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16517408.post-91763634777197158482013-08-06T13:09:30.113-04:002013-08-06T13:09:30.113-04:00Has anyone tried this with brown rice?Has anyone tried this with brown rice?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16517408.post-75913442714036290082007-07-02T09:17:00.000-04:002007-07-02T09:17:00.000-04:00Jan,I'm glad you liked the pork. It was simple but so good.

I can believe that the porcupines are a family favorite since stuffed cabbage is a family favorite of ours. It's amazing how beef, rice and tomato sauce come together. The Cookbook Junkiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04800004451856078252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16517408.post-59345065649801049482007-07-01T11:23:00.000-04:002007-07-01T11:23:00.000-04:00I often have to make my baked ziti...I get a littl...I often have to make my baked ziti...I get a little tired of making it all the time, but everyone loves it. It is so plain, unlike your recipe, but still so good. By plain, I mean no seasoning except onion, salt and pepper. My recipe uses minute rice, so only simmers 20 minutes. I serve it with mashed potatoes, which is great with the sauce on it.

JanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16517408.post-80900912895893307602007-06-30T08:10:00.000-04:002007-06-30T08:10:00.000-04:00I haven't had porcupines for years. Everyone really liked it. Even the 7 year old who "doesn't like pork" and doesn't like much of anything ate several helpings. She was even dipping into the dish before we began. It's a keeper.

I don't mind making the same things, especially for family functions, etc. But with my family, I would like to vary some dishes occasionally but usually get questionable looks! Oh, well, at least they like my cooking.

JanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16517408.post-52252710776105779722007-06-29T18:51:00.000-04:002007-06-29T18:51:00.000-04:00Nope...If you want me to make it, I'll do it.
