I found the house of my dreams. Someone else bought house of my dreams right out from under my nose. I'm in mourning. There is NOTHING else on the market here.

Ugh! I'm so VERY sorry. It's getting pretty ridiculous, isn't it? I've heard similar stories here in MD too...
Would you consider a move to Gig Harbor?? We are trying to sell, but no one here is buying. Sorry about your dream home, hope something else will work out for you soon!!
