Wow

Not too long ago, I couldn't think of parting with even my lamest cookbook. Now, I look around and think, what the hell am I doing with all of these cookbooks? If I continue to feel this way, many of them will end up at the spring yard sale. Maybe I will have some giveaways with some of the better ones.

So only a few people have come along to Facebook. So you did just love me for my food and recipes. Honestly, not much is going on there either. I don't know if it's this weather or what but life seems to be at a standstill.

I had thought of looking you up on Facebook, but I'm actually having some serious thoughts about quitting FB. I think I spend too much time there, especially with summer and garden season coming on.

I think I hit that cookbook wall a couple of years ago. I was overwhelmed when I realized I'd never have enough days in my life to try all the recipes I wanted to try, then I ended up culling my collection down to about 1/3 of my very favorites.

I only buy cookbooks very occasionally now and have strict rules for myself...never full price (preferably used), must have a picture for every recipe, must have practical ingredients, half the recipes must appeal to my whole family and not just myself, etc. It has really made a difference for me.

Well, I tried looking you up, but "The Cookbook Junkie" netted no results on FB.

For those of us that do not know you personally, you would be rather difficult to find.

I just sent a friend request to you from Facebook. I love your blog!

I have been more into my cookbooks lately, cooking more out of them than stuff off the internet and original stuff, but at the same time, I was looking at one of my bookcases the other day, wondering if I really need so many.
Things change, that's for sure.

I don't really use Facebook much.

But I do really enjoy your writing style and your blog. It doesn't have to be about the recipes, that can be a minor part.

You can always post about the yard sale or whatever else is happening in your life.

How do we find you on facebook? Maybe put some cookbooks on ebay or just post them on your blog and we could pay pal you. I would be interested and im sure so would a lot of other people.

I don't use fb. I feel you though about maybe parting with some of my cookbook collection. It may be time for me!

I tried using your e-mail to find you on Facebook but it didn't work. I'll try again.

Oh man, don't tell me you're going to have a yard sale of your cookbooks, I'd camp out in front of your house waiting for them to be put out in the yard (I haven't learned the "too many cookbooks" thing yet).

Hi! I actually just found your site about two weeks ago and am slowly trying some of your recipes. I started meal planning back in December and I've seen a huge difference in my waistline, my stress level and my grocery bills -- all for the better, I should say! Anyway, I hope you don't go away. I just discovered you. With spring on the way, how about some "spring inspired dishes" or "lighter cuisines"? I don't know, just throwing out ideas for you. Look forward to reading more.....
