An update

Just checking in to give you a status update. I realized that I was passing up the perfect opportunity to bring the recipe archive up-to-date. I was waaayyyy behind on that - there were no recipes past May 2009 in the archive. Yikes! It's a long process so I'm slowly catching up. I just started on July 2009.

Otherwise, my life is still in a state of upheaval but I'm looking forward to getting to the other side. I'm in the process of getting a divorce and all that fun stuff that comes along with it. In the meantime I am just feeding everyone as basically as I can since, well, I just don't feel like putting much effort into it (and the dirty looks I get when I don't make an effort really make me want to cook even less but why am I still the only one who can put a meal on the table???)

If there's anyone who never found me on Facebook (and wanted to), e-mail me and I'll direct the way. I should pop up if you put my e-mail address in the Facebook search box (you can find my e-mail address if you hit 'Email' under Contact in my profile here on Blogger.)

I spent a whole day archiving recipes last week, too. I got the idea from your blog, but I had let it go for more than a year! Lucky for me I don't post a recipe every day. ;)

Just tried to look for you on facebook but it says my account has been suspended--don't know what is going on--I was just on it not 10 minutes ago.

Hang in there. Speaking from experience, I know it will get better down the road. You have lots of people sending good thoughts your way. You are so sweet to even think of the blog we all love when you have so much to deal with. I'll look for your facebook page.

Hi Paula, Sorry your living in the middle of a "rumpus room" right now. Be assured, it does get better.

I have some serious archiving to tackle, someday:)

Good luck with things, sounds like you have a lot to deal with. Updating the archive sounds like a great idea. And make stuff you and the kids want to eat, if you want to.

I've read your blog for a long time and have seen good recipes, but rarely cook anymore. I have forwarded several to people who do.

I'm really sorry you're going through a divorce. That has to be hard, especially with 2 young children.

I thank you for your past efforts and wish you luck in the future.

Oh man. Divorce sucks. For everyone. (Well, except for the lawyers.)

Hang in there. Being the best Mom you can be is the most important thing you need to worry about right now. Sending warm thoughts your way...

I'm so sorry to hear of your upheaval. All you can do sometimes is just keep going one step at a time. I'm wishing you all the best.

OMG, I'm so sorry to hear this. I've been having my own marital problems( and was heading for divorce too for the last 6 months). Its hard to cook/blog when you're not happy in your marriage and thinks are sucking. We're trying to work things out, but who knows!! Good luck.

I'm right there with you on being seriously behind on recipe archives. As far as divorcing, hang in there, I promise it does get better/easier/insert word of choice. Just one foot in front of the other, concentrate on each day, one at a time. Be done with the day when you go to bed, you get a clean slate to start all over again the next day. Hang in there!

No words seem good enough to say I'm sorry that you are being put through so much right now. Hang in there.

I have read your blog over the past year. And have shared and cooked a few of your recipes. Thanks for taking the time to post all your efforts. I'm so sorry for your trouble. I know that must be so stressful. I will say a prayer for you and your children.
